Wilma "Peggy" J. Richmond

Mrs. Wilma J. “Peggy” Richmond, age 87, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at her residence in Franklin, KY. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in Blackjack Cemetery in Simpson County, KY.

Wilma was born on June 5, 1937 in Brooks, WV to the late Chalmer Richmond and the late Maymie (Berry) Richmond. She was also preceded in death by her son, Gene Austin Richmond, Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Gene A. Richmond of Franklin, KY; 1 daughter, Marcina Dorton of Franklin, KY; 4 grandchildren, Brittany, Jared, Courtney and Roger; and 2 great-grandchildren, River and Elizabeth Rose.

She attended Franklin First Church of Nazarene. She enjoyed to collect bells, work word search books, go thrift shopping and grow flowers and garden. 

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Franklin First Church of Nazarene, 710 John J. Johnson Ave., Franklin, KY 42134. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
