Wilma Jean Neal

Mrs. Wilma Jean Neal, age 82, of Portland, TN, entered into rest on Friday, July 17th, 2020 at the Tri-Star Medical Center of Hendersonville, TN.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home, Franklin, KY.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21st, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home, Franklin, KY.  Visitation will continue on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2020 from 6:00 AM until 12:30 PM.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home, Franklin, KY.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Wilma was born on May 15th, 1938 in Franklin, KY to the late Harvey Bradford Burgett and Earlene Pedigo Burgett.  She is preceded in death by 1 son, Thomas Eugene Neal; 1 grandson, Damon Neal; and 10 siblings.

She is survived by 3 children, James Alvin Neal of Portland, TN, Larry Wayne Neal of Portland, TN and Sharon Denise Neal of Portland, TN; 6 grandchildren, Thomas “Tommy” Eugene Neal II, David Kirby Neal, Cheyenne Denise Neal, Lawrence Clyde Neal, John Brown, Ashley Neal-Alonzo; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Wilma worked as a caretaker for well over 20 years.  She attended West Madison Baptist Church.
