He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Marie (Mann) Terrell. When asked who he loved, he would always reply, “My beautiful, beautiful wife”. Buddy was a member of LifePoint Church. He was a graduate of Brownsburg High School, Class of 1958. Buddy was a farmer and a truck driver for Gulf Oil Products and Airco before retirement.
Anyone who knew Buddy appreciated his love for his family and church. He showed up when it mattered, gave to those in need and always honored our service men and women. Buddy was a grateful man that could relate to people from all walks of life and always put others' needs before his own. He had an enormous capacity to give of himself and lived a life of service for others. He served with integrity and held true to important values, like faith and family. Many will tell you that Buddy became a mentor and a father figure in their life.
To his very last days, Buddy’s life was an example of grace when faced with health issues. He taught us to be thankful for all we have, cherish time with family, and look for blessings even through the trials of life. Buddy often quoted his favorite Bible verse even through the trials of his last days, “The Lord replied, ‘My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.’” Exodus 33:14. When the Good Lord called him home, he met Him with joy in the promise of what lies ahead.
Buddy will be missed, but family and friends can focus on the precious memories that were made throughout his lifetime. “As long as we remember a person, they’re not really gone. Their thoughts, their feelings, their memories, they become a part of us.” Justin Cronin
