William "Bill" Lancaster Eldred

Mr. William “Bill” Lancaster Eldred, age 94 of Franklin, KY. entered into rest Sunday, July 5, 2015 at 5:57 AM at his residence.
Funeral services are under the direction of Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the Franklin Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY. with military honors by the Simpson County Honor Guard.
A native of Davenport, IA. he was the son of the late Stanley Eldred and the late Neoma Lancaster Eldred. He was preceded in death by his son Robert Alan Eldred, a brother Robert Eldred and a sister Betty Eldred Black.
He is survived by his wife Marion Jean Brengle Eldred, 2 daughters Lynn Eldred Blair (David) of Knoxville, TN. and Jerry Eldred Thornton (Brian) of Steamboat Springs, Co., 4 grandchildren Jennifer Blair, Emma Cox, Melissa Marum, Baille Barbour and 10 great grandchildren.
Mr. Eldred was a member of the Franklin Presbyterian Church, Franklin Rotary Club, Franklin Country Club and served on the Franklin – Simpson Planning and Zoning Board. He was a WWII Army Air Forces Bomber Pilot. He enjoyed piloting his own airplane and traveling the world. He was retired plant manger from Potter and Brumfield.
The body will lie in state at the Franklin Presbyterian Church 3:00 P.M. until service time on Sunday.
