William Frank Lucas

Mr. William Lucas, age 78 of Franklin, KY, entered into rest Friday, May 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Franklin-Simpson Nursing and Rehab Facility in Franklin, KY.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, May 14, 2018.  Cremation was chosen following the service.

Mr. Lucas was born August 4, 1939 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Ollie Lucas and the late Melinda Farris Lucas.  He was preceded in death by 2 daughters Lisa and Frances Lucas, a sister Betty Lucas, 3 brothers Ralph, Bobby and Edward “Fats” Lucas.

He is survived by his wife Mary Lucas, 3 daughters Mary Slack (Rickey Parks) of Franklin, KY, Kathy Nichols of Adolphus, KY and Becky Basham (Eldon) of Bowling Green, KY; 4 sons William Frank Lucas, Jr. (Tina) of Dickson, TN, William Jessie Lucas (Kathy), and William Lucas (Leona) all of Portland, TN and Bobby Joe Lucas of Franklin, KY; 24 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

Mr. Lucas was a millworker and former employee of Simpson County Lumber Co.

Visitation will begin Monday, May 14 at 10:00 AM until funeral service time at Gilbert Funeral Home.
