Mr. William Henry “Bud” Edwards, Jr., age 86 of Afton, TN, passed away January 21st, 2024 at his residence.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM Saturday, January 27th, 2024 at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 27th, 2024 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

Bud was born August 19th, 1937, in Warren Co., KY to the late William Henry Edwards, Sr. and the late Jane Coombs Edwards. He was the husband of the late Eleonore Hoffmann Edwards. He was preceded in death by a sister, Hattie Fay Stephens and a niece, Delores Ann Stephens.

He is survived by 2 children Bruce Roger Edwards and Ivy Osborne (Patrick); a granddaughter, Freedom Chantelle Osborne Lamirande (Zachary); a nephew, Christopher John Stephens.

Bud was a former member of the Ganson Baptist Church in Jackson, MI and Countryside Baptist Church in Clearwater, FL.  Bud lived in Franklin, KY until he was 10 years old, his parents moved to the family to Michigan for employment. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was retired from General Motors in Lansing, MI.
