Wanda Stinson

Mrs. Wanda Stinson, aged 85, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Monday, September, 20, 2021 at 8:12 AM at the Franklin-Simpson Nursing & Rehab., in Franklin, KY.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory, Franklin, KY.  Visitation will continue on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 6:00 AM to funeral service time.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 AM with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

Wanda was born on February 29, 1936 in Macon County, TN to the late Ollie Dozier and the late Flossie Gertrude Fuqua Dozier.  She is also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Smith Stinson; and 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

She is survived by her 5 children, Delain Hughes (Eldon Ray) of Auburn, KY, Brenda Stinson Canler (Eddie) of Franklin, KY, Priscilla Stinson Silchuk (Arnold) of Marana, AZ, Stephen Allen Stinson of Nashville, TN and Mark Stinson (Lynne) of Auburn, KY; 12 grandchildren, Penny Hughes, Jonathan Hughes, Chadwick Canler, Stacie Forshee, Austin Wade Canler, Matthew Silchuk, Zachary Silchuk, Alec Silchuk, Miranda Varner, Leann Martin, Loren Stanford, Billie Jo Allen; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; and her pet Festus.

Wanda was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church in Auburn, KY.  She was a homemaker.  Wanda enjoyed quilting, crafting, doing yard work, farming and gardening.
