Wanda Mundy Gammons

Mrs. Wanda Mundy Gammons, age 74, of Franklin, KY, passed away on April 2, 2025 at 11:05 PM at the Hospice House of Bowling Green, KY.

Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be held at 11am on April 26th at the Leon and Lassie Page center, located at 403 North College Street in Franklin, KY.

Wanda was born November 6, 1950 in Atlanta, GA to the late Andrew Jackson Mundy and the late Sybil (Wynn) Mundy, and was raised in Jonesboro, GA. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Mundy.

Education in all forms was always very important to Wanda. She was a graduate of Georgia State University with a bachelor’s degree in history, served a decade on the local school board while living in Texas, as well as being a long term volunteer ESL teacher for both students and adults.

Wanda worked for JCPenney Outlet Stores before becoming a full time homemaker, mother and volunteer.

She is survived by her spouse of 50 years, Glen Gammons; a son, Andy Gammons of Franklin, KY; brother, Jack Mundy; sister Barbara Keller; sister-in-law Carolyn Mundy; brothers-in-law Roland Keller and Billy Gammons; long term friends, Donna Garner and Dan Tolleson; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Wanda was a generous and loving mother, wife, aunt, sister and friend who will be missed by all.
