Wanda Sue (Gosnell) Carver

Mrs. Wanda Sue Carver, age 79, of Franklin, KY passed away on Thursday, December 16th, 2021 at her residence.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 18th, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory.  Funeral services will be held the same day, Saturday, December 18th at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in Providence Cemetery, Simpson County, KY.

Sue was born on April 17, 1942 in Franklin, KY to the late Lester Gosnell and the late Edna McClendon Gosnell. She is also preceded in death by her husband, James Wesley Carver; her sister, Betty Webb; 5 brothers, Billy Gosnell, Jimmy Gosnell, Donald Gosnell, Wayne Gosnell and Charles Gosnell.

She is survived by her 4 children, Ronnie Carver, Randall Carver (Kim), Betty Ann Jennett (Jason), Patricia Suddarth (Timmy), all of Franklin, KY; 6 grandchildren, James Allen Adams (Marni) of Russellville, KY , Danielle Canler (Dean) of Franklin, KY, Coty Suddarth of Franklin KY, Randi Jo Malone (Justin) of Franklin, KY, Leann Herrington (Zack) of Franklin KY and Bonnie Woodard (Andy) of Bethpage, TN; 9 great-grandchildren, Tristin Adams, Kaiya Adams, Brantley Suddarth, Stella Jo Eaton, Lincoln Malone, Layne Austin Canler,  Everly Herrington, Eli Woodard and Connor Woodard; 3 siblings, Doris Keen of Franklin, KY,  Pete Gosnell of Franklin, KY and Alfred Gosnell, of White House, TN.

Sue was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church of Franklin, KY. She was a retired greenhouse laborer of Pennyroyal Gardens. Sue also worked at Drackett and spent time working in tobacco. She loved spending time with her children and grand-children, attending church, gardening, fishing, and doing anything outdoors.
