Walt Forshee

Mr. Walt Forshee, age 56 of Franklin, KY, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019 at 4:51 AM at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Franklin, KY at 303 E. Cedar St. Franklin, KY. 42134 with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

Walt was born July 23, 1962 in Franklin, KY to the late James Walter Forshee and Ola Mae Hicks Forshee. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Doris Forshee Burysek.

Walt is survived by his daughter Haley Danehy (Sean) of Bowling Green, KY, 2 grandchildren Silas and Ola James Danehy, and 2 brothers Jackie Forshee (Jane) and Buddy Forshee (Nancy) all of Franklin, KY.

Walt was self employed and owner of Walt Forshee Roofing, a former scout for the Pittsburg Pirates, and was a member of the Franklin Country Club.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 2, 2019 and from 6:00 AM until time of service Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Franklin, KY.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
