Viola Mae Patterson

Ms. Viola Mae Patterson, age 78, of Sun City, AZ, passed away Saturday, November 30th, 2019 at 9:43 PM at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where cremation was chosen.  A memorial service will be at a later date.

Viola was born January 17th, 1941 in Big Beaver, MI., which is in Oakland County, to the late Norman Lee Carpenter and the late Jessie Bailey Carpenter.

Viola is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Patterson, 2 sisters, Norma Jean Kirklin and Peggy Render and a brother, Carl Carpenter.

She is survived by 5 children, a son, Robert Patterson (Janet) of North Branch, MI., a son, Darrell Patterson (Rox) of Oxford, MI., a daughter, Karen Akins (David) of Franklin, KY., a daughter, Victoria Segura (Stanley) of Sun City, AZ., a daughter, Dawn Andersen (Brian) of Lapeer, MI., along with 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, along with 3 sisters, Jess Williams of Inverness, FL., Jackie Harris of Lake Orion, MI. and Tammy Kent of MI., and 2 brothers, Jerry Carpenter of Lake, MI and Richard Carpenter of Evart, MI.

Viola loved cooking, playing bingo and playing cards.
