Velma Josephine Minnicks

Mrs. Velma Josephine Minnicks, age 88 of Franklin, KY. entered into rest Wednesday, March  25, 2015 at 6:29 A. M. at her residence.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 27, 2015 with burial to follow in the Providence Cemetery in Simpson County, Ky.

A native of Logan Co., KY. she was the daughter of the late Marvin E. Cauley and the late Mary Josephine Seiber Cauley.  She was the wife of the late George Woodrow Minnicks. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers Lewis Cauley and  LeRoy Cauley.

She is survived by her children John Edward Minnicks(Jackie), Ronnie Lee Minnicks(Laura), George Timothy Minnicks(Donna) and Phyllis Sharon May(Jerry) all of Franklin,Ky., 2 brothers James and Larry Cauley both of Franklin, KY., 4 sisters Corrine Marklin, Christine Shoulders and Barbara Sue Burnette all of Franklin, Ky., and Kathryn Pitt of Orlinda, TN., 8 grandchildren Derick Minnicks(Diane), John “Buddy” Minnicks(Sarah), Amy Dickerson(Todd), Chad Minnicks(Amy), Tabitha Robertson(Jeremy), Jeremy May, Jason May(Melanie) and Jaycee Turner(Nathan), 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Mrs. Minnicks was a member of the Providence Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Thursday, March 26, 2015 and from 6:00 A.M. until funeral service time on Friday at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home.
