Mr. Tommy Waalkens, age 80, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at10:09 PM at the Tristar Hendersonville Medical Center in Hendersonville, TN.

Arrangements are entrusted to Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory, Mr. Waalkens’ wishes were to be cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date.

Tommy was born May 3, 1942 in Crandon, WI, to the late Charles Waalkens and the late Ruby (McPherson) Howard.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deanna Waalkens and 5 siblings, Perry Brown, Susie Howard, Victoria Kelly, Georgia Hafley, Phillip Waalkens.

He is survived by spouse of 4 years, Brenda Waalkens; 7 children, Chuck (Shauna) Waalkens of Kingman, AZ; Scott Satterly (Vanessa), Todd Satterly (Pam), Jennifer Holman (Kelly), Heidi Bell (Bobby) and Joshua Satterly (Emily) all of Franklin, KY; and Travis Satterly (Michelle) of Plano, KY; 34  grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 6 siblings, Bill Howard of Sholo, AZ, Mark Evans of Chino Valley, AZ, Linda Gelpon of Taylor, AZ, Judson Brown, Sr of Kingman, AZ, Rebecca Scroggins of Kingman, AZ and Patricia Harris of Seattle, WA.

Tommy attended Kingman Worship Center in Kingman, AZ.  He was a retired carpenter with Orr Construction.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or to the charity of one’s choice.
