Tommy Dennard

Mr. Tommy Dennard, age 80, of Franklin, KY entered heaven on Thursday, January 19, 2023 in Georgetown, KY.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 22nd, 2023 from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Franklin. Visitation will continue on Monday, January 23rd, from 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 23rd, at 11:00 AM with interment to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

Tommy was born on August 15, 1942 in Somerset, KY to the late Benton Atticus Dennard and the late Mary Louise Waddle Dennard.  He is also preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Parker Dennard.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Becky Dennard; 2 children, Brent Dennard (Patti) of Georgetown, KY and Brad Dennard (Susan) of White House, TN; 4 grandchildren, Blake (Alexis), Brooke, Jeremy and Joshua Dennard and his expectant first great grandchild; 2 sisters, Elsie Moon of Chattanooga, TN and Terri Johnson of Mission, KS.

Tommy graduated from Red Bank High School in Chattanooga, TN and attended University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Franklin, KY and served as interim music minister at several churches in Tennessee, Florida, and Kentucky. He was a retired Chief Financial Officer, having previously worked for General Cinema Corporation, Sara Lee Corporation, and Martin Automotive. Tommy found his joy in spending time with his family and helping others anyway he could.
