Sue Lynn (Read) Pennington

Ms. Sue L. Pennington, age 90, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Wednesday, August 17th, 2022 at 12:20 AM at the Hopkins Center in Woodburn, KY.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 20th, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory.  Funeral services will be held the same day, Saturday, August 20th at 1:00 PM with burial to follow in Sulphur Spring Cemetery in Simpson County, KY.

Sue was born on May 22, 1932 in Simpson County, KY to the late Henry Edmund Read and the late Anna Belle (Russell) Read.  She is also preceded in death by a brother, Edd Read.

She is survived by her 3 children, Larry Wayne Pennington (Linda Kay) of Franklin, Ky, Read Pennington (Vickie) of Dadeville, Alabama and John Scott Pennington (Eva) of Tucson, AZ; several grandchildren; 2 sisters, Kathy Kinnaird of Franklin, KY and Ann Sloan of Orlando, FL; 4 nieces and 4 nephews.

Sue was a member of the Franklin Church of Christ.  She was retired from the Lenk/Drackett Company and was a homemaker.
