Stephen Lane Stewart

Stephen Lane Stewart, 71 of Franklin, Kentucky, passed away on October 15, 2024 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. 

Mr. Stewart’s wishes were to be cremated with no services. 

He was born February 8, 1953, in Simpson County, Kentucky to the late Houston Lane Stewart and the late Mary Ida Randolph Stewart.

Steve is survived by two daughters, Allison Stewart Chmely (Stephen) and Lauren Charles Stewart; one granddaughter, Josephine Rose Chmely; his companion of twenty-five years, Peggy Groves; and three siblings, Stephanie Smith (Dennis), Bart Stewart, and Bridgette Stewart.

 Steve was a 1971 class-graduate of Franklin Simpson High School. He worked as a car salesman throughout Middle Tennessee for 38 years, was an avid hunter of antiques, enjoyed relaxing on his houseboat, and loved his dogs.
