Shelby Quinn Edwards

Mr. Shelby Quinn Edwards, age 26 of Portland, TN, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 6:11 PM at his residence.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 13, 2019 with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

Shelby was born May 27, 1993 in Bowling Green, KY to Chris and Ronda Edwards whom both survive of Portland, TN.

Shelby was preceded in death by his brother, Peter Kelley Williams Jr., paternal grandmother, Betty Sue Boyd-Pirkle, maternal grandmother, Gloria Jean Harwood, maternal great-grandmother, Nettie Oller, uncle, Steve Edwards.

Along with his parents, he is also survived by his son, Quinn Kelley Edwards, of Westmoreland, TN, fiancé, Janeen Gingerich, of Westmoreland, TN, brothers, Cody Edwards (Heather Benson) of Smiths Grove, KY, and Josh Tamayo (Cora Payne) of Scottsville, KY, sister, Emily Simpson (Curtis Bradley) of Franklin, KY, maternal grandfather, Marion Harwood of Fountain Run, KY, 5 nephews Kaden Meredith, Stryder Edwards, Rowan Edwards, Ryker Moore, and Jimi Tamayo. Several aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family.

Shelby loved spending time with his son, Quinn and his fiancé, Janeen. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, rapping with his friends and was a big UK fan. Shelby was a kind soul that would do anything for anyone and loved his family very much. He was a talented writer, and very athletic and good at any sport he ever attempted. He loved playing with all of his nephews, where in return they all think he hung the moon. Shelby would light up the world with his smile and laugh.

Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM Monday, August 12, 2019 and from 6:00 AM until service time Tuesday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
