Sharon Reynolds was a brilliant nurse. She was smart and compassionate, respected both as a supervisor and by her co-workers. But as successful as she was in her career, nursing was not her life's work. Her family was her life. Sharon passionately loved her two sons, her grandchildren, her great grandchild, and her furbabies. They were her true purpose...her reason for living.
To her sons, Sharon was a steady, dependable presence in their lives. Brian and Alan always knew she had their backs. She was both their advisor and their friend. They will tell you she never ever let them down. And, her precious grandchildren! She was over the moon in love with them. When Sharon told you a grandkid story, her voice became animated and you could feel her excitement and joy.
Sharon's friends will tell you she was loyal and true through good times and bad. She chose her friends carefully. But, if she loved you, she really loved you. Nothing fake. No pretense. And, although she lived her life in a very low-key fashion, she could be a fierce defender and supporter. She loved who she loved. Period.
Sharon's furbabies were family. She was an amazing mom to Lacey and Shadow. They never wanted for anything once they arrived at Stephen's Hill Road.
Sharon was an exceptional daughter...an only child. She understood and valued that role throughout her parents' lives. When they needed her, she was there to the end. And those who love her can find some comfort in the fact that she is now reunited with her beloved Al and Mary.
Sharon's sudden passing has been a huge shock and a devastating blow to all of us who had the privilege of being in her life. She was not someone who complained or shared her health issues. She never wanted to burden others or worry her family and friends. Our lives will never be the same without her and the hole in our hearts can never be filled.
But we know God has her in His hands now...and Heaven gained one of its finest angels last Friday.
