Sammie Jo Perkins Hicks

Ms. Samantha Joann Perkins Hicks, age 30, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green, KY.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory.  Visitation will continue on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held the same day, Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 2:00 PM with interment to follow in Tyree Chapel Church Cemetery in Simpson County, KY.

Sammie Jo was born on April 24, 1993 in Bowling Green, KY.  She is preceded in death by a maternal grandfather, Larry Brooks and paternal grandmother, Betty Hicks.

She is survived 2 children, Sophie and Stefany Perkins of Franklin, KY; parents, Scott & Sonya Hicks of Franklin, KY; a brother, Skyler Hicks (Tori) of Franklin, KY; a nephew, Liam Niblett; maternal grandmother, Linda Brooks of Franklin, KY; paternal grandfather, Richard Hicks of Franklin, KY; and several aunts, uncles & cousins.

Sammie Jo attended Tyree Chapel Church of Christ in Simpson County, KY.  She was a 2011 graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School.  Sammie Jo worked at Sumitomo in Franklin, KY.  She loved her kids and just being at home.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Gilbert Funeral Home, for a fund for Sophie and Stefany Perkins.  Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
