Ruth Dinning

Mrs. Ruth Dinning, age 74, of Franklin, KY, passed away, Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

 Visitation will be held Saturday, August 17th, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and from 6:00 AM until service time on Sunday at Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. Funeral service will be held Sunday, August 18th, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

 Ruth was born on March 23rd, 1950 in Macon Co, TN to the late Luster L. Barton and the late Mary Elizabeth (Green) Barton. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Wilson and son-in-law, Scott Forshee.

 She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Bill Dinning; 2 daughters, Suzanne Forshee and Mary Jayne Goostree (James) both of Franklin, KY; 3 grandchildren, Rachel Forshee of Seattle, WA, Allie Forshee Mayes (Justin) of Franklin, KY, Ella Goostree of Franklin, KY; a great grandson, Tyler Mayes; several nieces and nephews.

 Ruth was a member of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church in Woodburn, KY. She was a 1968 graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School. Ruth worked for Dr Michael Pulliam as a medical coder for 28 years, retiring from Pediatrics Associates of Bowling Green after 4 years. She loved to tend to her flowers, reading a good book, playing the piano for her own enjoyment, but most especially spending time with family along the Gulf Coast enjoying the beach
