Mr. Roy Lee Rippy, Sr., age 66 of Franklin, KY, entered into rest Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 10:11 AM at the Medical Center in Franklin, KY.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 14, 2018 with burial to follow in the Sulphur Spring Cemetery in Simpson Co., KY.

Mr. Rippy was born July 22, 1951 in Portland, TN to the late Quinton Anderson Rippy and the late Annie Vee Brown Rippy. He is preceded in death by 2 sisters and 1 brother.

He is survived by his wife Pat Rippy, 4 children Lola Vanbuskirk of Portland, TN, Roy Lee Rippy, Jr. (Melissa) and James Quinton Rippy (Michelle) all of Franklin, KY and Dee Ann Eades of Greenville, KY; 6 sisters Judy Huff, Rose Mary Johnson, Wanda Miles, Lisa Frix, Debbie Butzke and Barbara Harris all of Franklin, KY and a brother Robert Rippy of Scottsville, KY; 11 grandchildren and 11great grandchildren.

Mr. Rippy was a retired mechanic of the Simpson County Schools system, owner of R & R Lawn Care and employee of On Guard Security.

Visitation will be from Noon until 9:00 PM Tuesday, March 13, 2018 and from 6:00 AM until funeral service time on Wednesday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
