Romeo Kummer

Mr. Romeo Kummer, age 88 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 3:30 P.M. at his residence.
A native of Simpson Co., KY. he was the son of the late Oswald Kummer and the late Anna Ertner Kummer. He was preceded in death by a brother Arnold Kummer.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years Mrs. Nettie Pinson Kummer, a son Chris Kummer and his wife Jill of Franklin, KY., 2 sisters Lucy Kummer Lilly of Sringfield, TN. and Ida Kummer Mabe of Chattanooga, TN., 2 Grandchildren Harrison and J. Tyler Kummer.
Mr. Kummer was a member of the Lake Springs Baptist Church and retired owner and operator of Kummer Farms. Mr. Kummer was a member of numerous agricultural organizations as well as many local boards. He was recognized for various agricultural innovations and achievements throughout his lifetime. In 1984 he received the Agricultural Leadership award from the Simpson County Extension Council. He was also presented the Simpson County Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Farmer award in 1993.
