Robert P. Gossett

Mr. Robert P. Gossett, age 87 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest with his family by his side, Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
A native of Robertson Co., TN., he was the son of the late Robert Presley Gossett, Sr. and the late Mary Ethel Caudill Gossett. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Joyce Patton Gossett, a son Charles Gossett and a sister Willie Mae Coker.
A beloved husband, father and grandfather who is survived by his son Mike Gossett (Christi) of Cottontown, TN. and two grandchildren Matthew and Mackenzie Gossett.
Mr. Gossett for many years was plant foreman for Tennessee Gas Pipeline Co. and also plant superintendent for Midwestern Gas & Transmission Co. in Portland, TN. and retired in 1992.
He was a WWII US Army veteran who proudly served his country in the European Theater in Germany and a member of the Lake Springs Baptist Church.
