Robert Chester Bennett, Sr

Mr. Robert Chester Bennett, Sr., age 98 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Sunday, January 23, 2011 at 6:50 P. M. at his residence.
A native of Simpson, Co., Ky. he was the son of the late Ewing Bennett and the late Minnie Pearl Bunton Bennett. He was the husband of the late Clarice Bennett. He was preceded in death by a grandson Matt Bennett.
He is survived by 2 sons Gary Bennett and his wife Annette of Ronake, VA. and Bobby Bennett and his wife Holly of Franklin, KY., 4 Grandchildren David Bennett and his wife April, Robert Bennett and his wife Tiffany, Luke Bennett and his wife Kelly and John Bennett and his wife Paige, 4 Great Grandchildren Adam, Aaron, Zoe and Sophia Bennett.
Mr. Bennett was a member of the Franklin Church of Christ, Franklin Lions Club and Franklin Chamber of Commerce and was a Kentucky Colonel. Mr. Bennet was a former teacher and principle at Round Pond School, former employee of Railway express and former owner of Bennett Tire Service and a farmer.
