Richard Neel Grimes, Sr.

Mr. Richard Neel Grimes, Sr., age 93 passed away August, 8, 2024 at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Richard Neel was a native of Warren County, KY. He was born August 30, 1930 near Plum Springs to the late Henry and Ruth (Richmond) Grimes. He grew up in the Drake community. He was a graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a Korean War Veteran. Until Recently he was a longtime resident of Shreveport, LA.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Hattie Jane (Adamson) Grimes; 2 children, Deborah Grimes and Richard N. Grimes, Jr.; and 2 sisters, Christine Grimes Hullett and Dorothy Grimes Dixon.

He is survived by 2 nieces, Vicky Dixon Sexton (Mark) and Rose Hullett; 1 nephew, Robert C. “Chris” Hullett; 2 great nieces; and 3 great nephews.

Richard Neel’s wishes were to be cremated with no service.
