Richard Lee Cotton

Mr. Richard Lee Cotton, age 75 of Franklin, KY., died Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 8:58 A.M. at his residence.
A native of Simpson Co., KY., he was the son of the late Lee Andrew Cotton and the late Hallie Frances Hopkins Cotton.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Lorene Cotton of Franklin, KY.; 3 daughters: Leisa Cotton of Springfield, TN., Sandy Kitchen and Terry Burnworth both of Franklin, KY. and 2 brothers Donald Cotton and Billy Cotton both of Franklin, KY.; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Mr. Cotton retired as manager of Safety Clean Oil Co. in Gallatin, TN. and was a 1958 graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School. He attended First Baptist Church and was a member of the FS Quarterback Club and AQHA (American Quarter Horse Association). He was very active showing and training Quarter horses and competing in barrel racing.
