Rev. Walter V. Deweese

Rev. Walter V. Deweese, age 89 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 9:10 A.M. at his residence.
A native of Edmonson Co., KY. he was the son of the late Walter Phillip Deweese and the late Georgann Smith Deweese. He was the husband of the late Wilma Evelyn Deweese. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers Willie Everett, Rudy and Charles R. Deweese, 2 sisters Pearl Davis and Lily Butts.
He is survived by a daughter Peggy Thompson and a son Mickey Deweese both of Franklin, Ky., 5 grandchildren Judy Reynolds, Angela Thompson, Michelle Walker, Donna Stanton and Kelly Bennett, 8 Great Grandchildren Andrew, Caroline, John, Matthew, Nathaniel and Kate Walker and Ava and Amelia Stanton.
Mr. Deweese was a retired minister after 62 years at Eastside Missionary Baptist Church, he also ministered at Days Crossroad, Knob Springs, Grant, S. Carthage and N. Carthage, Hogans Creek, Plunketts Creek and Hillsdale Missionary Baptist Churches. He was former owner of Franklin Lumber Company and a graduate of Franklin Simpson High School.
