Raymond Lawrence Farmer

Mr. Raymond Lawrence Farmer age 89 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the Medical Center in Franklin, KY.

Arrangements are under the direction of Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, March 21, 2016 with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.  with military honors by the Simpson County Honor Guard.

A native of Mitchellville, TN., he was the son of the late Roy Farmer and the late Ella Mae McGlothlin Farmer.  He was preceded in death by 2 sisters Bernice Akin and Jean Collins.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Annetta Runner Farmer 2 sons Larry Farmer(Joyce) and Jerry Farmer(Wanda) all of Franklin, KY., 4 brothers Fred Farmer of Murfreesboro, TN., Wilson Farmer of Bowling Green, KY., Floyd Farmer of Campbellsville, KY. and Albert Farmer of Dallas, TX., 5 grandchildren Wesley Forshee, Shirley Landrith, Nathan Farmer, Jerri Lynn Fleenor and Chelsey Farmer and 6 great grandchildren.

Mr. Farmer was a retired 30 year employee of TVA doing construction and owner and operator of Farmer Insulation for 20 years.  He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and a Navy WWII veteran.  He was a member of the VFW Post 5706 and the American Legion Post 62.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until funeral service time on Monday, March 21, 2016 at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home.
