A former Franklin, KY. resident, Mr. Raymond “Buster” Calvin Enders, age 88 of Brentwood, TN., entered into rest Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the Somerfield Healthcare Center.
A native of Portland, TN., he was the son of the late Raymond W. Enders and the late Lassie Wright Enders. He was the husband of the late Betsy Lamb Enders. He was preceded in death by a son Allen Ray Enders and a daughter Becky Lamb Enders.
He is survived by a daughter Lynn Serio and her husband Michael Steven of Nolensville, TN., a sister Marie Devasher of Nashville, TN., 5 Grandchildren Jessica Holmes, Shelly Serio, Lauren Enders, Rebecca Serio and Kyle Enders, 4 Great Grandchildren Jared Serio, Nicholas, Logan Holmes and Brandy Holmes, 4 sister in laws Martha Perdue, Camille Fuller and Jane Hudson all of Franklin, KY. and JoLinda Eljaiek of Fort Lauderdale, FL., 2 brother in laws Bill Hudson of Franklin, KY., and Nury Eljaiek of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Mr. Enders was a member of the First United Methodist Church, he was a mechanical engineer for Southern Bell Telephone, he attended Vanderbilt University and graduated from Georgia Tech where he play football for both universities, he was a lifetime member of the telephone pioneers, a member of the Kiwanis Club and he volunteered for the Special Olympics and the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. He was a WWII Navy Veteran.
