Ralph Wayne Perdue

Mr. Ralph Wayne Perdue, age 73, of Franklin, KY passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023 at his residence.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory.  Visitation will continue Saturday, November 11th from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 1:00 PM with interment to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

Ralph was born on October 14, 1950 in Portland, TN to the late Vernon Perdue and the late Alean (Hester) Perdue. He is also preceded in death by a brother, George Perdue.

He is survived by his wife of 9 years, Verlyn Perdue; 2 daughters, Kim Gray (Kevin) of Owensboro, KY and Tametha Trammel of Franklin, KY; 2 step-children, Shannon Phillips of Franklin, KY and John Mitchell (Nina) of Franklin, KY; 4 grandchildren, Holly Gonzalez (Lazaro), Jake McFadin, Ashley McFadin, Alex Scott (Emily); 5 great-grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 8 step-great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Freddie Perdue (Brenda) of Franklin, KY; 3 nephews, Chris Perdue, Mark Perdue and Craig Gray; and 1 niece, Lisa Hicks.

Ralph was a member of Liberty General Baptist Church.  He was a 1968 graduate of Portland High School.  Ralph was a retired machinist at Mahle Manufacturing.  He loved preaching and was a avid UK basketball fan.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Liberty General Baptist Church, West Cedar Street, Franklin, KY.  Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
