Phillip Larry Snoddy

Mr. Phillip Larry Snoddy, Sr., age 81, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 2:24 AM at his residence.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 13^th, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, May 14^th, 2024 from 6:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 14^th, 2024 at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Crestview Memorial Gardens in Gallatin, TN.

Larry was born on May 22, 1942 in Wilson Co., TN to the late B.L. Snoddy and the late Lillian Ada James Snoddy.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Smith Snoddy and a brother, Bobby Snoddy.

He is survived by 3 children, Ret. U.S. Navy Master at Arms Phillip Larry Snoddy, Jr. (Rhonda) of Bremerton, WA, Ronnie Jay Snoddy (Angela) of Franklin, KY and Sara Lynn Frye (Todd) of Antioch, TN.; 8 grandchildren, 2nd Class Petty Officer Phillip Larry Snoddy, III, Brandon Lee Snoddy, Samantha Kathleen Walraven, Lance Corporal Bobby Snoddy, Petty Officer 3^rd class Colby Snoddy, Gracie Snoddy, Gabriele Snoddy and Jordon Almodovar; and 9 great-grandchildren, Olivia Snoddy, Carter Walraven, Trevor  Snoddy, Eli Hallman, Layla Snoddy, Charlie Snoddy, Jaxson Snoddy, Josie Walraven and Isla Almodovar; 1 brother, Gayle Snoddy (Joanna) of Smyrna, TN.

Larry was a member of the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and attended Eastside Missionary Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer and truck driver.
