Mrs. Peggy Sue Huffines age 68, of Franklin, KY. entered into rest Friday, March 17, 2017 at the King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where a “Celebration of Life” will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Mrs. Huffines wishes were to be cremated.
A native of Simpson Co., KY. she was the daughter of the late Clarence Coy Humphrey and the late Lillie Mae Cook Humphrey Kinnaird. She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Huffines and 2 brothers Jackie Kinnaird and Jimmie Kinnard.
She is survived by her daughter Mia Belcher of Ashland, KY., her son Michael Belcher of Franklin, KY. and her other children Cindy Huffines of Nashville, TN., Joyce Noe (John) of Russellville, KY., Janice Moyer (Andy) of Harrisburg, PA. and Cheryl McNeill (Neil) of O’Fallon, MO.; 2 brothers Mike Kinnaird (Cheryl) of Nashville, TN. and Kenneth “Bud” Humphrey (Martha) of Portland, TN., sister-in-law Kathy Kinnard and niece Carol Ann Kington both of Franklin, KY.; 13 grandchildren Jonathan, Sarah, Daniel and Samuel Noe, Rachel, Katlyn and Ethan McNeill, Thomas, Ashley and Tyler Moyer, Brittany Murray (Paul), James Belcher and Chase Roberts; 2 great grandchildren Maggie Jewel Brown and Owen Murray.
Mrs. Huffines was a member of the First Baptist Church in Russellville, KY., a former employee of the Potter & Brumfield Co. and Sealed Power Corp. She was self-employed as a house painter known as “Designing Women” and an avid University of Kentucky fan. She loved the fun times spent with her family, friends and the Red Hat Sweeties Society.
