Paul Summers

Mr. Paul Summers, age 84 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at his residence.
A native of Simpson Co., Ky. He was the son of the late Luther Cole Summers and the late Mary Bett Dobbs Summers. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth Toney Summers. He was preceded in death by a son James “Sonny” Summers, a sister Pauline Kirby, a brother Denver Hayes Summers and a son-in-law Steve Thurman.
He is survived by 3 daughters Sue Forshee and her husband Bill of Franklin, Ky., Jolene Thurman of Franklin, Ky. and Tammy Summers of Franklin, Ky., a son Mike Summers and his wife Debby of Russellville, Ky., a brother L.L. Jack Summers and his wife Louise of Franklin, Ky., 9 Grandchildren Scott Summers, Sonni Alexander, Jamie Summers, Chris Thurman, Carey Massey, Stephanie Kivett, Josh Thurman, Hilary Blackburn, and P.J. Summers and 9 Great Grandchildren.
Mr. Summers was a member of the Round Pond Presbyterian Church, retired bulldozer operator. He was WWII Navy Veteran serving on the USS Pennsacola, and the USS Washington in the Pacific Theater.
