Parline Patsy James

Mrs. Parline Patsy James, age 77, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024 at 6:48 AM at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY. 

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 6th, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Greenlawn Cemetery, 420 Cemetery Street in Franklin, KY.

Patsy was born on November 15, 1946 in Pucketts Creek, VA to the late William Kempton and the late Etcy (Baker) Kempton. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Clement Kempton and a niece, Diane Kempton.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John James; two daughters, Michele Mahler (Thomas) of Franklin, KY and Lana Smith (Donnie) of Franklin, KY; four grandchildren, Brandy Young (Jeremy), Brittany Drish (Trevor), Ashley Warren (Justin) and Dylan Warren (Tessa); six great-grandchildren, Thomas Young, Ella Young, Levi Drish, Ryman Drish, D.J. Sears and Luca Warren; three siblings, Geraldine Moretz (Ray) of Lorain, OH, Lorene Barnhart (John) of Monroeville, OH, Roger Kempton of Sandusky, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

Patsy was a homemaker and of Baptist faith. She loved crafting, painting, decorating and enjoyed cleaning.
