Mrs. Pamela Lynn Womack of Franklin, KY, entered into rest Monday, March 26, 2018 at her home. She shared thirty-two years of her life with her best friend, caregiver, and fixer of all things, Tony Womack. Although she was often annoyed by his jokes she loved him with every inch of her heart.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 29, 2018 with burial to follow in the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Simpson Co., KY.
Pam was born July 7, 1962 in Hartsville, TN. to the late Bob Brandon and the late Velma Hammack Brandon. She was raised in a home where the food and clothes were homemade, every bed and seat was full, and the girls’ bangs were always crooked. But, every Sunday was spent in an Old Fashioned Missionary Baptist Church and there was always enough love to go around. She was saved as a young girl and has faithfully served her God and church.
She is survived by her husband, Tony Womack, two daughters Tori Graves (Wes) and Lily Headden (Caleb) both of Franklin, KY. She loved them unconditionally and spent countless hours and dollars shuttling to various recitals and competitions always cheering from the sidelines. She was known as, Honey to four grandchildren Kaylee, Izabella and Hazel Jane Headden and Beckham Graves. She is also survived by two brothers Jerry Brandon of Franklin, KY and Phillip Brandon of Scottsville, KY, five sisters Brenda Tuttle of Portland, TN, Diann Moore, Wanda Powers and Debbie Deweese all of Franklin, KY and Cindy Stephens of Scottsville, KY.
Mrs. Womack was a lifetime member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She was a Franklin Simpson graduate, Class of 1980. Professionally she began to work at the Simpson County PVA office in 1983 and was elected as PVA in 1995, where she has served 23 years. She was a member of the KY PVA Association, KY & National IAAO, and Franklin BPW where she served in numerous local and state offices. She was and member of the Friends of Library and a volunteer for Relay for Life.
She loyally served her family as organizer, caregiver, and keeper of the schedule. Although she had a lead foot, her earlier years were spent driving untold hours to various locations that her sisters were too afraid to drive. She loved diet coke, a perfect manicure, and a good book. She loved the beach, but hated bathing suits, the sand, and the heat. She was known for her honesty and contagious laugh and will be forever missed by her family, friends, and community.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM Wednesday, March 28, 2018 and from 6:00 AM until service time on Thursday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
