Nina Carolyn (Williams) Neal

Mrs. Carolyn Neal, age 84, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Saturday, September 24th, 2022, at 5:15 PM at her residence.

Mrs. Neal’s wishes were to be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 26th, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory.

Carolyn was born on February 8, 1938, in Russellville, KY to the late, Frank Williams and the late, Lela Pauline Williams. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Margie Stevenson.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Joe Neal of Franklin, KY; 3 daughters, Vickie Turner (Frankie), of Franklin, KY, Pat Jernigan (Joe), of Franklin, KY, and Leigh Ann Pedigo (Thomas), of Franklin, KY; 8 grandchildren, Amanda Gomer (TJ), Nathaniel Turner, Jessica Benshoff (Rocky), Stephanie Manning (Samuel), Katelyn Jernigan, Kellie Jo Nealy (Devin), Huston Jernigan, and Jake Jernigan and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Marolyn Woodward, of Auburn, KY, her half sister Sherry Allen, of Russellville, KY and several nieces.

Carolyn was a member of 31W Church of Christ and a 1956 graduate of Russellville High School. She was a retired store clerk from Piggly Wiggly and IGA. She enjoyed quilting, working in her flower gardens, working puzzles, and dearly loved her grandchildren. Mrs. Carolyn simply loved life itself.
