Nina Leona Logan

Mrs. Nina L. Logan, age 84, of Woodburn, KY, passed away on Sunday, September 18th, 2022 at 1:50 PM the Hopkins Nursing and Rehab in Woodburn, KY.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 20th, 2022 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will continue on Wednesday September 21st at Old Zion Heritage Way Baptist Church of Woodburn, KY (837 Old Zion Church Rd Woodburn, KY 42170)  from 9:00 AM until funeral service time. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 21st, at 2:00 PM at the church with burial to follow in Woodburn Cemetery.

Nina was born on August 6th, 1938 in Simpson County, KY to the late, Noah J. Gentry and the late, Henrietta (Smalling) Gentry “Mama Gentry”. She is also preceded in death by her 4 siblings, Eva Wright, M.J. Gentry, Billy Gentry, and Noah Gentry.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Earnest “Bud” Logan; 2 children, Beverly Hobdy (Steve) of Franklin, KY, Jimmy Logan (Brenda) of Scottsville, KY; 3 grandchildren, Stephanie Hobdy, Michelle McPherson, Marah Robinson; 9 great grandchildren, Callie Andrews, Nena Andrews, Blake McPherson, Emery Robinson, Anslee Robinson, Drake McPherson, Benson Cockrill, Silas Robinson, Titus Robinson; a great great granddaughter, Zayne Andrews; and several nieces and nephews.

Nina was a member of Old Zion Heritage Way Baptist Church, and the Franklin Homemakers Club. She was a 1956 graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School. Nina was former employee of Potter & Brumfield and Kendall Company; after retiring she babysat her grandchildren and nieces. She enjoyed camping, cooking, eating out with her family, and talking.
