Mr. Nevil Alvin Halcomb, Jr. age 83 of Franklin, KY. entered into rest Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 7:06 PM at the Medical Center in Franklin, KY.
Arrangements are under the direction of Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 2, 2015 with burial to follow in the Sulphur Spring Cemetery in Simpson Co., KY.
A native of Simpson Co., KY., he was the son of the late Nevil Alvin Halcomb, Sr. and the late Emma Mae Meador Halcomb. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Mayme Ruth Halcomb.
He is survived by 2 daughters Lisa Bashant and Heidi Dobbs (Mark); 2 sons Mark Halcomb (Linda) and Craig Halcomb all of Franklin, KY. and a grandson Jack Dobbs.
Mr. Halcomb was a member of the Franklin First Baptist Church and a farmer. He was a retired employee of the Detrex Corp. and an Army veteran.
Visitation will begin Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Sunday at 6:00 AM until funeral service time at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home.
