Nancy Aline Vaughn

Mrs. Nancy Vaughn, age 72 of Portland, TN, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023 at her residence.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at the funeral home at 2:00 PM.

Nancy was born on July 5, 1950 in Nashville, TN to the late Herschel Groves and the late Earline (Stout) Groves. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John Wesley Vaughn; and 6 siblings.

She is survived by 3 children, Melissa Williams (Timmy) of Franklin, KY, Leslie Vaughn of Portland, TN and Lisa Costello (Andrew) of Portland, TN; 7 grandchildren, Haley (Josh), Breanna (Brian), Hannah, Bubba, James, Courtnie, and Ethan; 1 brother, Travis Groves; and her special pets, Olaf, George, and Goldie.

Nancy was a graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School in Franklin, KY. She retired from Berry Global after working there for 45 years. Nancy attended Macedonia Baptist Church. She enjoyed to watch TV and to spend time with her family.
