Mitchell Wayne Hale

Mr. Mitchell Wayne Hale, age 58 of Franklin, KY, passed away on Sunday, May 14th, 2023 at 2:05 AM at the Medical Center of Bowling Green, KY.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 17th, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory. Cremation will follow visitation.

Mitchell was born on March 24, 1965 in Henderson County, KY to the late, Silas Mitchell Hale and Martha Ann (Puckett) Hale of Franklin, KY, whom survives.

In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his 3 children, Jennifer Hale (Danielle) of Franklin, KY, Katelyn Chandler (Dustin) of Scottsville, KY and Megan Hale (Abbi) of The Colony, TX; 5 grandchildren, Emily, Gage, Gayden, Holden Samuel and Asher Luke; Life Partner, Elisa Davison; a sister, Kim Crabtree (Scott) of Franklin, KY; and 3 nephews, Joshua, Tanner and Ty.

Mitchell was a 1983 graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School.  He was a master machinist and had worked for Siemens, Western Kentucky Plastics and Western Plastics.  Mitchell enjoyed collecting, fishing, crafting, history, western movies and working with his hands.  He developed an admiration for Johnny Cash, alongside his father, at the young age of two.  This was something that he was later able to share with his daughters.
