Minnie Bess Freas

Mrs. Minnie Bess Freas, age 97 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 5:05 AM at the Franklin-Simpson Nursing and Rehab in Franklin, KY.

Arrangements are under the direction of Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 15, 2014 at the Franklin Church of Christ with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

A native of Simpson Co., KY. she was the daughter of the late Claude Garrett and the late Jennie Williams Garrett.  She was the wife of the late Earl Thomas Freas and preceded in death by 2 daughters Nancy Freas Neal and Glenda Freas Madison and a grandson Tom “Bubby” Barger.

She is survived by a son Larry T. Freas (Debbie) of Franklin, KY., KY., 5 grandchildren Cheri Natcher, Nanette Neal Key, Jeff Neal, Vonda Freas Vaught and Brian Freas, 7 great grandchildren, Nan Thomas and Houston Natcher, Shaelyn, Andrew, Adam and Austin Vaught and Ella Jefferson Neal and a brother Jim Garrett (Barbara) of Gallatin, TN.

Mrs. Freas was a member of the Franklin Church of Christ and former owner of the Townhouse Restaurant and Kentucky Motel.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, September 14, 2015 and from 6:00 AM until 8:00 AM. Tuesday at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home.  The body will lie in state at the church from 9:00 AM until funeral service time on Tuesday.
