Michael "Mike" Arthur Crump

Mr. Michael Arthur “Mike” Crump, age 57 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 11:09 AM at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 11, 2017 at the Old Zion Heritage Way Church with burial to follow in the Old Zion Heritage Way Church Cemetery in Woodburn, KY.

A native of Warren Co., KY., he was the son of the late Arthur Crump and the late Margie Jewell Pierce Crump. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Lily Rosa Chavez, a grandson Pedro Jose Chavez and brother-in-law Donnie Owens.

He is survived by his wife Peggy Riddle Crump of 36 years, a daughter Tanya Chavez (DeJesus) and a son Jason Crump all of Franklin, KY.;  a brother Bobby Parrish (Diane) of Plano, KY., 4 sisters Shirley Crump (Mitchell) of Texas, Brenda Tallant (Dale) of Indiana, Linda Owens of Pekeo, KY. and Joyce Cretella (Mike) of North Carolina;  2 granddaughters Lucia and Gabrella Chavez, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mr. Crump was a former employee of Quebecor and the Drackett Co.  He attended the Old Zion Heritage Way Church and loved to fish.  He enjoyed going to Flea World, collecting die cast cars and yard sales.

Visitation will be begin Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM and at 6:00 AM until Noon Sunday at Gilbert Funeral Home.  The body will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until funeral service time at the church.
