Mary Elizabeth Harris

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Harris, age 86 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Somers Hospice House in Sebring, FL.
Arrangements are under the direction of Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, January 15, 2016 with burial to follow in the Sulphur Spring Cemetery in Simpson Co., KY.
A native of Allen Co., KY., she was the daughter of the late Lewis Newman and the late Mettie Jane Wainscott Newman. She was the wife of the late James M. Harris.
She is survived by 2 daughters Jane Jernigan (Joe) of Cottontown, TN. and Jean Harris of Franklin, KY., a granddaughter Shelley Larson, 2 great granddaughters Brooke and Brilee Larson; 5 step-grandchildren Darren Jernigan, Tiffany Isenberg, Carla Suddarth, Rebecca Grigsby, Angel Johnston and 9 step-great grand children.
Mrs. Harris was a member of the First Baptist Church and a member of the Elizabeth Dunn Sunday School class. She retired from Potter & Brumfield and Piggly Wiggly.
Visitation will begin Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM Friday until funeral service time at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home.
