Mrs. Mary Frances Carter, age 81 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Sunday, June 17, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Medical Center in Franklin, KY.
A native of Simpson Co., KY., she was the daughter of the late Conrad S. "Tats" Shepard and the late Georgia Reams Nichols Shepard. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Lee "Jake" Carter, infant son David Ross Carter and brother Harold D. Shepard.
She is survived by 2 sons: Mike Carter of Franklin, KY. and Mark Carter (Lynn) of Georgetown, KY.; 2 grandsons Michael Carter (Samantha) and Matthew Carter (Darby); 2 great grandsons Jackson Carter and Jake Carter; a great grandaughter Jocelyn Carter
Mrs. Carter was a homemaker and a member of the Providence Baptist Church. She was a member of the Lake Springs Homemaker Club, volunteered with 4-H Clubs and loved to travel with her friends.
