Mary Anne Galloway Carrier
Anne, 87 passed away on December 29, 2014. She was residing at the Cal Turner Rehabilitation Center in Scottsville, Kentucky at the time of her death, but was a resident of Nashville, TN for many years.
Anne was born in Bardwell, KY. on September 20, 1927. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Robert Knox Galloway and Sue Startup Galloway. and her husband of 63 years, Rev. Wallace H Carrier, who was a former pastor at Harrodsburg Baptist Church and minister and retired Baptist Sunday School Board employee.
She is survived by her Son, Chip Carrier; his wife, Bonny of Franklin, KY.; 3 grandchildren, Jared H. Carrier, Brian M. Link (Andrea), and Robert N. Link. 3 great grandchildren; and brother, Dr. RK Galloway Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Hendersonville, TN. and 14 Nieces and Nephews
Anne graduated from East High School in Nashville, TN. and earned a B.A. (B.S.) degree from Peabody College and a Master's Degree from The University of Kentucky
Anne's love and caring for children and young people influenced her to choose avocation in teaching and counseling. She worked as a guidance counselor in the Metro Nashville Public Schools for many years and will be remembered for her tireless efforts on the behalf of students. She was a member of Immanual Baptist Church in Nashville, TN.
