Martha Lou White

Mrs. Martha Lou White, age 79, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024 at her residence.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will continue on Monday, August 19, 2024 from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM with interment to follow in Mitchellville Cemetery in Mitchellville, TN. 

Martha was born on August 27, 1944 in Franklin, KY to the late Prince Vineyard Ausbrooks and the late Ruth (Anglea) Ausbrooks. She is also preceded in death by her husband, James "Jake" White and 10 siblings.

She is survived by 4 children, Jimmy (Lisa) White of Spring Hill, TN, Cheri (Steve) White of Kingston Springs, TN, Angela Hogue of Franklin, KY and David White of Franklin, KY; grandchildren, Monty (Alisa) Bottorff, Brittany White, Keith White, J.J. (Noel) Gregory, Malorie Gregory, David Gregory, Ashley Hogue, Missy Taylor, Morgan White, Anna White, Anna White, Lily White, Bentley White, D.J. White and Alexis White; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Martha spent her life being a homemaker and raising her children. She enjoyed painting and reading before losing her eyesight.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Friends of the Shelter, P.O. Box 910, Franklin, KY 42135-0910. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
