Mr. Mark LeRoy Perdue, age 61, son of Frances Deweese Perdue of Franklin, KY. and the late Oscar L. Perdue died Monday, September 5, 2016 at Quality Health Care Center in Fernandina Beach, FL. after lengthy illness. A native of Franklin, KY., Mark was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at the Greenlaw Cemetery with military honors by the Simpson County Honor Guard.
He was a Franklin-Simpson High School graduate where he was a member of the Wildcat Marching Band. Mark attended Western Kentucky University and graduated from DeVry University in Atlanta. Mark served twenty years in the United States Army including deployment during Operation Desert Storm. After his retirement he worked with the 1996 Summer Olympic Committee then continued working in the IT industry before starting his own computer service business.
Mark is also survived by a daughter, Shannon Marsh and her husband Peter from Fernandina Beach, FL., two sons, Christopher and Matthew, granddaughter, Amelia Rose all from Dallas, GA., sister, Charolette Farmer and her husband Ronnie of Paducah, KY., nephews, Drew and Ross Farmer and their Families of Huntsbille, AL., aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held in Dallas, GA to celebrate Mark’s Life. Also, a graveside service will be held at a later date in Franklin at the Greenlawn Cemetery.
