Mark Keith Lane

Mr. Mark Lane, age 58, of Cross Plains, TN, passed away on Saturday, July 24th, 2021 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 31st, 2021 at 5:00 PM at The Franklin Church of Christ, 700 South Main Street Franklin, KY with burial to follow in Cross Plains UMC Cemetery.  Visitation will be held prior to the service, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the church.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy are to be made to the Taylor Christian Camp or the Dawson Project c/o Franklin Church of Christ, 700 South Main Street, Franklin, KY.  42134.  Envelopes will be provided at the church.

Mark was born on August 29, 1962 in Nashville, TN to the late Ray Shelton Lane and the late Laverne (Hudgins) Yates.  He is also preceded in death by 1 brother, Darrell Lane.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Lynn Lane; 2 children, Kayla Wilks (Brad) of Orlinda, TN and Kolby Lane (Peyton) of Orlinda, TN; 1 brother, David Lane of Gallatin, TN; grandmother, Elizabeth Lane of White House, TN.

Mark was a member and deacon of Franklin Church of Christ, Franklin, KY.  He worked for Berry Global in Old Hickory, TN for 32 years.  He loved his job and co-workers.  Mark loved trout fishing with yearly trips to Colorado to fish the Blue River and was a member of Trout Unlimited.  He coached Dixie Youth baseball for many years.  Mark also enjoyed turkey hunting, his garden, carpentry, anything outdoors and any time spent with family and friends.  He was a Vanderbilt football season ticket holder and was an avid Vanderbilt football fan.
