Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Pitt Evans, age 87 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Sunday, December 28, 2014 at 6:05 P. M. at the Christian Health Center in Bowling Green,, KY.
A native of Simpson Co., KY., she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Pitt and the late Mary Stewart Pitt.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years Charles Owen Evans of Franklin, KY. and 2 sons; John O. Evans (Ann) of Franklin, KY. and Rev. Joe L Evans (Becky) of Hermitage, TN.; 4 grandchildren: Robbie Ann Cothern (Jeff), Tammie Carey (Brian), Elizabeth Elaine Evans Hagan (Kevin) and Mary Emily Evans; 2 great grandchildren Ashlyn Carey and Owen Carey.
Mrs. Evans was a homemaker and an active member and teacher of the Sulphur Spring Baptist Church. She was a member of the Sulphur Spring Homemakers Club and 4-H Club leader.
