Mr. Linville Oren Fink age 75, of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Monday, November 30, 2009 at 5:45 P.M. at his residence.
A native of Jonesboro, TN., he was of the late Lee Otis Fink and the late Nora Eleanor Light Fink. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Robert, Kermit and J. D. Fink and 3 sisters: Dorothy King, Helen Nelson and Mable Hoskins.
He is survived by his wife Frances Kaye Fink, a daughter Pamela Christine Thrash and husband Torrence of Dayton, OH. and a son John Oren Fink and wife Lisa of Franklin, KY.; 3 brothers: Jake Fink of Colorado Springs, CO., Clayborn Fink and Frank Fink both of Kingsport, TN.; 3 sisters: Hazel Chase of Kingsport, TN., Pat “Nell” Pike of Sumter, SC. and Shirley Catron of Richmond, VA.
4Grandchildren: Amanda Blevins, Nicolette Fink, Shelby Fink and Nathan Thrash; 2 Great Grandchildren: Mia Thornton and Mari Thornton.
Mr. Fink was a retired employee of Dayton Press and Quebecor Inc., an Army veteran serving in the Korean War a reciepant of the Korean Service Medal with 2 bronze stars, Bronze Star Medal, United Nations Service Medal and Purple Heart, a member of the VFW Post 5706 and American Legion Post 62. He enjoyed bowling in leagues in Dayton and Bowling Green and enjoyed watching sports, especially the University of Tennessee.
